The renovation of a former bowling alley and ice hockey rink on the Weatherford Traffic Circle in Fort Worth is completed. The building is now known as Cendera Center and includes 10,000 square feet of event space, meeting rooms and a lobby.
"We want everyone to think of Cendera Center when they plan an event on the west side," said Brian Collins, president and CEO of mortgage company Cendera Funding who is behind the building's renovation. "I wanted a building that housed my business and was a place to connect to the community."
The event space can be leased for such things as music acts, boxing exhibitions, senior proms and wedding receptions.
"The layout, material choices, sound system and color-changing LED lights can accommodate a seminar one afternoon and a quinceañera that evening," said Joe Self, with Firm817, who headed up the design team.
